What Is the Importance of SEO for Web Designers

AppId is over the quota AppId is over the quota

Most experts will tell a new company bluntly that it should hire a website design team that specializes in SEO-friendly design. Anything less will only result in a less effective website or higher optimization costs in the future. Some less experienced website design teams will deny the importance of SEO for designers, but they are hopelessly mired in the past, before paid “organic” search engine traffic had become so central to online marketing. Fortunately for those firms that are not yet able to fully integrate SEO into their website design efforts, some basic steps and core competencies can easily be upgraded and adapted to compliment SEO better.

One of the easiest ways to integrate SEO into web design is to maximize efficient use of CSS. Deceasing HTML code, moving the components to CSS, and loading it externally will decrease page load times as well as make pages easier for search engines’ crawlers to index quickly. The other very simple design step that can immediately help SEO is to stop using Flash for anything important. Web crawlers struggle to access the information or links in embedded Flash or other rich media formats, so it is invisible from an SEO perspective. Dropping those will not just make the same amount of work have a bigger impact on SEO, it will also improve the page’s visual performance for most visitors.

These two points embody the basics of SEO-based design. Even when thinking in terms of more advanced design aspects, the goals all eventually point to improving factors that will increase search ranking. Many of them relate to making the site more accessible to web crawlers and easier to index more effectively, but others deal with quality scores and a myriad of other details that impact parts of search engines’ algorithms.

The final aspect of SEO for designers speaks to the second half of what a website must do. Beyond achieving a good search ranking for the site, site design should produce a website that converts visitors into customers or entices them to come back again for the quality of the content. What these are more the product of content creation and graphic design, site designers should absolutely have supporting these goals in mind throughout the project. Some see pleasing visitors and optimizing search rankings as opposing goals, but again, web designers that specialize in SEO understand how to build a site from the ground up to so that it is easy to modify and update, facilitates faster indexing and better quality scores to improve search ranking, and is visually effective and easy to use for visitors. The alternative is a site that doesn’t do all this and has to be repaired later once the copy realizes the importance of these two goals.

The Time Has Come for Sites to Incorporate Mobile Browsing Habits into SEO Strategy

AppId is over the quota AppId is over the quota

For the last several years of search engine evolution, in which we’ve seen search engine optimization go from a pioneering field to a full-fledged industry, SEOs have been lucky. That’s because the mobile web has yet to match its traditional desktop competitor. For anyone with a shred of foresight, that comfort zone is changing. Mobile web browsing is no longer just for reverse phone lookup and checking movie times. By the middle of this decade, mobile web browsing is expected to blossom by 400%. Since the number of web users total is not projected to increase this much, it’s obvious that people will be switching from predominantly desktop-based web use to mobile computing.

Those seriously concerned about the SEO of their website must be prepared. The differences in the web search habits of desktop browsers and mobile users is alarming. The inhibitions caused by lower practicality of the keyboard and an emphasis on clicking means that SEO strategists must be prepared for the explosion of mobile online access. Otherwise they will be missing out on the overwhelming majority of customers found online.

Things like Flash-only sites and cumbersome cursor navigation, which are already established no-nos in the world of SEO, will have to be prohibited when taking into account the fact that the majority of people accessing your site will be mobile. Bad website design which can otherwise be forgiven with the power of a mouse and keyboard will simply be skipped over by the time-constrained connectivity-constrained mobile visitor.

Most important of all, Google is already configuring how to measure mobile SEO. There’s no surprise in the fact that they’ve already devised algorithms that define and divide website pagerank based on the state of the visitor – mainly if they’re using a mobile device or not. They’ve specifically identified the differences between users of feature phones and smartphones too. This is all entailed by their implementation of a secondary Googlebot-Mobile in addition to their standard Googlebot.

Mobile SEO is not and will not be played by the same rules as traditional search engine optimization. It’s the same ballpark, but things aren’t exactly the same as they used to be. Average SEOs will start taking mobile web browsing very seriously in about a year or so when everyone is using a smartphone. Exceptional SEOs will start aligning their goals with mobile browsing today and be better because of it.

Making Money – Mistakes you Should Avoid

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

I made some mistakes in the past which I want to share with you.

1. Love The Game
When I started in Internet Marketing 2007 I just wanted to make money. I did not want to “learn” anything but only get some bucks on autopilot. Well, what I learned was that you cannot make much money online if you don’t love Internet Marketing. You have to have the ability to teach yourself everyday (learning html, php, wordpress, …).

2. Take action
I often talk to people who tell me their great plans which “WILL WORK”. The tell me that they are planning “this special project” for weeks or months now… well, at the end they often don’t even start the projects they talked about.
You have to TAKE ACTION if you want to make money online. Reading and learning is good, but SALE comes from SELL so you have to do something. All your knowledge is worthless if you don’t take action.
This advice seems to be simple, but believe me that it is one of the main mistakes especially for newbies.

3. Don’t start too many projects at the same time
When I started I tried to use nearly every method I found. I tried one method for a week and switched to another one before the first one was finished. After one year I got a Domain Renewal Notification and noticed that I had already 20 domains… and all of them did not bring me money because the projects have not been finished.
If you start a project, finish it! Don’t do anything else until this project brings you some cash. If you tried everything to make it bring you some bucks then leave the project (only if you really believe, that the method itself does not work). which brings me to point 4…

4. Stay focused
You can be a simple guy who wants to earn some extra dollars monthly or you can be a total computer genius: If you don’t stay focused on your projects you WILL FAIL! So the best advice I can give you is: STAY FOCUSED! Love your project, live your project… even f*** your project but concentrate on it. If I start a new project I am not thinking of anything else. Don’t check your emails every 10 minutes, close your Instant Messangers and close your FACEBOOK tab. All you should have opened while you are working are the tools you need for that project.
