What is Dofollow and Nofollow?

You probably have read term dofollow and nofollow in many SEO websites and link building articles. This is a post to explain dofollow and nofollow.
Dofollow means the links which search engines follow. Backlinks are very important to increase your ranking in search engines. If you get more backlinks you will get more importance by search engines, but search engines only count dofollow backlinks and nofollow links has 0 weightage for search engines. If you have 1000 nofollow backlinks to your website they will be useless for you to get search engines ranking but you may only get some traffic to your website by these links, and If you have only 100 dofollow backlinks they will be useful for you to increase your PR.
Blogging platform like WordPress and Blogger give nofollow link by default when you comment there. but there are many websmasters who have converted their blog to dofollow, means whenever you comments search engines follow you. and this is a good way to increase your ranking in search engines. Its a easiest way to increase backlinks by commenting on dofollow blogs.

You can easily find these blog by searching on Google ” Dofollow blogs” or “Dofollow blogs list”.

How to Check Dofollow or Nofollow links:

To check a link nature you just select link text >>> right click>>> click on view selection source.
if you see something like this
<a href=”link URL”>Link Text</a> it means link is dofollow.
and if you see this
<a href=”link URL” rel=”nofollow”>Link Text</a> it shows that link is nofollow.
You can also use same codes in your post articles if you want search engines to follow or nofollow your links.
